This is a private gun range for members only. It’s not required to call ahead to shoot, and you are
welcome to use any bay you want if it’s not in use by another member or reserved for private class/match.
Keep in mind that the 1st, 3rd and 4th Saturday of every month there will be a match going on, so those
Saturday’s the range will be busy.
Shooting hours are 8am to 5pm daily. No exceptions.
Release/Waiver
Everyone must have a Release/Waiver form signed and on file at Lonesome Oak Gun Range whether you
are a member, guest, observer, instructor, student or match competitor. Members are responsible for
their guest to sign a Release/Waiver form. Please make sure to reference your member number on your
guest “signed” form. The guest fee is $20.00 for each visit. There is no limit on guests’ visit and no need
for a new release after their first visit and release is on file. Please place the release form and fee thru the
office door slot. You may bring your spouse to shoot with you at the range four (4) times a year at no cost.
If your spouse or one immediate family member are an avid shooter, they may become an Associate
Member at half the cost of member fee. Youth under 18 years old are not allowed to shoot at Lonesome
Oak Gun Range without direct adult supervision of a current member and a signed release by both child
and adult, there is no guest fee required for them. Again, it’s your responsibility for all your family and
guests to have a signed release form on file.
Gate Code
Never give out your private gate code, not even to family members. If for any reason you are meeting
your guest separately at the range, request a temporary gate code by texting 479-270-0129.
Membership Dues
Member shall pay dues for the year (January 1st to December 31st) before January 10th of that year.
Invoices are sent out via QuickBooks to all current members (active for the previous year), and you are
welcome to pay by check, cash or card. Gate Codes will be turned off on January 10th if dues are unpaid. If
for any reason you don’t renew in January, there are discounted prices throughout the year.
Membership Requirements
- All members must have a valid Conceal Handgun Carry License. This ensures every member has passed
a background check. - All members must be a US Citizen and must not have ever been convicted of a felony.
- All new members will be expected to qualify with a Range Safety Officer before finalizing membership.
These qualifications are held once a month at the range. - All new members will be on a 60-day probationary period that pertains to safety, reliability and
desirability as a member. Violation of the gun range rules are grounds for revocation of membership
without refund. One rule violation will result in a warning. The 2nd rule violation will result in
revocation of membership.
Safety Precautions
- There is a vast difference of skill and experience among members and their guest. It is your
responsibility to maintain range safety. If you see unsafe gun handling, you must say something nicely
and then report the situation to the office. Unsafe behavior will not be tolerated. - Safety glasses and hearing protection are always required for everyone on the range. We expect you
to always wear these. - All firearms transported to and from the range must be in a safe condition. Carry firearms in cases,
bags or holsters only until you are safely in the bay. - Treat all firearms as if they are loaded. Always keep muzzle pointed down range. Keep finger off the
trigger until ready to fire. - There are safety tables around the range. No ammo at these tables.
- Loading your ammo and shooting are allowed from INSIDE the bay only. Please holster your weapon
before picking up mags, ammo or casings from the ground. - If you are showing someone your weapon, all rules remain. Be sure it is empty (mag out, slide locked
back, nothing in chamber). Such activity is permitted at the safe tables or in the bay, 180 rule remains. - If you are row shooting, space yourself so no hot brass will hit you coming in from your side. Never
send anyone or go downrange when weapons are not holstered. - Pointing any pistol or rifle beyond a bay’s 180 degree, sends you home!!
Gun Restrictions
- There is no shotgun or skeet shooting allowed at Lonesome Oak Gun Range.
- Fully automatic weapons must be authorized through the office and have the proper
paperwork on file. - Any modifications made to a standard issue that would allow the firearm to act in a fully
automatic fashion or similarly to that, such as binary or force reset triggers and bump stocks are not allowed
at Lonesome Oak Gun Range.
Bay Rules
- Bays 5, 6 & 7 are the ONLY bays that you can shoot anything larger than 45 caliber in.
- There is to be no driving in front of Bay 1 thru 5. Instructors are the only ones allowed to drive thru
there and park in the bays. - Members shooting on Bays 6 & 7 are permitted to drive in and unload gear, park in parking lot and
then drive back to load up. You may NOT shoot in the bay while your vehicle is in it! Again, only
instructors are allowed to park near the bays while conducting a class. - Range provided target stands and sticks are provided in each bay and are made for pistol and rifle
shooting only. After you are done shooting, set any rocks you may have used to the side of the bay.
You’re welcome to borrow stands from another bay if needed but please return to the correct bay
when finished. - NEVER shoot out of any bay. You must be within the side walls of the bay to shoot.
- Targets must be arranged so the rounds impact the berm when shooting. Do not shoot anything on
the ground, as dangerous ricochets can occur. - Pick up your trash, including your cardboard targets.
Brass/Casings
- Anyone is welcome to pick up brass on the range.
- If you are shooting aluminum casings, please make sure to dispose of those after shooting.
Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited on the property. Violation of this will result in immediate removal from the property and revocation of membership with no refund.
Lonesome Oak Gun Range is a hidden gem here in Northwest Arkansas and we want to keep it that way. Please treat it as if it was your own and keep it clean. We have plenty of trash cans placed around the property for you to dispose of trash. Cigarettes and cigars need to be extinguished properly and disposed of in the trash cans. Please don’t leave them on the ground!
